Do you ship nationwide?

We proudly ship to 42 states across the U.S including HI, AK.

Unfortunately, we do not ship to the following states due to legal restrictions: CT, NJ, SD, UT, AR, MS, DE, and AL.

Do you ship Internationally?

Not at this time.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer a flat shipping rate of $25 per order. While Batch Mead incurs actual shipping costs ranging from $25 to $85, we strive to provide the most affordable rate for our customers.

We offer FREE SHIPPING on orders over $149+ (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).

When will I receive my order?

Orders typically take 5-14 days to arrive once placed.

  • Orders are fulfilled Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
  • Orders placed Sun-Tues will likely ship that week.
  • Orders placed Wed-Sat will likely ship the following week.

Shipping timelines vary depending on the destination, with orders to the Midwest and East Coast taking slightly longer.

We pack and fulfill orders within 5 days of receiving them. During this time you will receive a notification that your shipping label has been created and be able to view the tracking number. Please check spam folders.

Does someone 21+ need to sign for my package?

Yes, an adult aged 21+ or older MUST be present to sign for your package, as required by federal law. Make sure someone will be available to avoid delays or additional charges. If no one is available to sign and your order gets shipped back to Batch Mead, you will be refunded minus the cost of shipping.

If a customer is not home during all (3) delivery attempts, FedEx/UPS charge us an additional $30-$40 to return the package. It is essential that customers are home during delivery or change their address to a FedEx/UPS store via the shippers' websites.

What if i cannot be home to sign for the package?

We understand that it may not always be convenient to be home for package delivery. Here are a few options to ensure you can still receive your order smoothly:

  • Reroute Your Package for Pickup: Use your tracking link to reroute the package for pickup at a nearby UPS or FedEx store. Look for options like "Manage My Delivery" or "Change My Delivery" on the tracking page. Please note, you may need to create a free account with the shipper and set a preferred store for this service.
  • Ship to Your Workplace: If it’s more convenient, consider shipping your order to your workplace or another location where someone 21+ will be available to provide the required signature.

How will my order be shipped?

We use FedEx and UPS to ship our orders across the U.S. Which depends on your location, the cost, and time to receive the order. Shippers vary.

Please remember that once your package is with FedEx/UPS we are not able to change the address or anything about the delivery, it's completely in the shipper's control.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Just choose PICKUP at checkout. You may pick up your order after you place it any time during our open hours. Batch Mead is open:

  • Friday: 3 PM - 9 PM
  • Saturday: 3 PM - 9 PM
  • Sunday: 12 PM - 5 PM

Bring your order number, name, and a government-issued photo ID (proving you’re 21+) when picking up your order.

Can I change my shipping address?

Before shipping: Contact us at leigh@batchmead.com with your order number, name, and the updated address details, and we'll do our best to assist.

After shipping: Use the tracking link in your shipping notification to manage or change delivery via FedEx or UPS. Look for 'manage my delivery' or 'change my delivery'. This may require setting up a free account with the shipper. For assistance, customers can contact FedEx/UPS. We cannot make any changes for you.

Can I ship my order to a FedEx or UPS store for pick up?

Yes! During checkout, enter your preferred FedEx or UPS store as the shipping address. You’ll want to set up a free account with the carrier to ensure smooth delivery.

Can I ship to a Business address?

Yes! Someone 21+ must be available to sign for the package as required by federal law. If that is easier at a business, then go for it!

Can I ship to a P.O. Box?

NO. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to P.O. boxes as alcohol shipments require specialized carriers like FedEx or UPS, which do not deliver to P.O. boxes. USPS does not allow alcohol to be shipped or received, and will not receive a package from another carrier, like UPS or FedEx.

Am I able to request a specific delivery date, day of the week, or time window?

NO. We cannot specify delivery times. You will receive a shipment confirmation email when your meads are shipped which will include a tracking link to stay up to date on estimated arrivals.

Mead FAQs

How Do You Drink Mead?

Mead can be enjoyed in a variety of ways:

  • For sparkling mead, serve chilled at about 45°F (refrigerator temperature).
  • Still mead can be enjoyed at room temperature or chilled.
  • Feel free to experiment by mixing mead with spirits, ice, or mixers—but we think it’s best enjoyed straight!

How Do You Store Mead?

  • Keep unopened bottles in a cool, dry place (like a wine fridge or a closet) away from sunlight or fluctuating temperatures.
  • We recommend drinking our cans within 6 months and bottled meads within 1-2 years.
  • Once opened, mead is best enjoyed within 1-3 days. Use a bottle stopper and keep it in the fridge to preserve its carbonation and freshness.

Can mead age?

Yes! Like wine, mead can age beautifully. However, we recommend enjoying it within a year of purchase for the best flavor.
