Fulfillment & Refund Policy at Batch Mead

Order Fulfillment

At Batch Mead LLC we ship our meads & ciders and merchandise to California (via UPS) and meads & ciders outside of California (40 states via Vinoshipper-UPS).

Orders placed for pickup are available during Batch Mead's open hours (Fri 3-9p, Sat 3-9p, Sun 12-5p).

All orders require someone 21+ to be present to accept the order.

California orders ship within 2-5 business days, out of state orders ship within 5-7 business days unless otherwise noted (pre-sales etc).

shipping is $25 per order. Please note, this is the rate we pass to the customer, but know that it costs Batch Mead $25-$85 to ship any order throughout the US. We do not ship internationally at this time.

For pickups, you must have the order number, first and last name and government issued photo ID showing you are over 21:

We cannot release a pickup to you if you:

    • Are under 21 years of age.
    • Don’t have a valid government-issued photo ID.
      • We’ll return the order to the store if you can’t show a valid ID.
      • For pickup orders, we’ll remove the alcohol from your order if you can’t show a valid ID.
    • Appear intoxicated while buying alcohol.
    • Appear to give alcohol to someone under 21.

Refund & Return Policy:

We accept returns and provide refunds on certain merchandise by approval (This includes deliveries that are missing, damaged or returned to Batch Mead).

Conditions that apply:

1. We do not accept returns for “change of mind”. Per state law, alcohol returns can only be accepted if the product is spoiled or otherwise unfit for consumption.

2. Damaged or spoiled items do not need to be returned to receive a refund. Images of damaged merchandise need to be provided unless UPS/Fedex has already done so (UPS/Fedex will notify Batch Mead if this is the case)

3. If your order is returned because no one 21+ was able to sign for UPS/Fedex, your order will be refunded minus a $25 shipping fee (even when shipping is “free”, Batch Mead still pays UPS/Fedex for shipping).

4. We only provide payment refunds for the following reasons:

    • Products are damaged in shipping/transit
      • Images must be provided from customer of damaged goods unless UPS has already done so
    • Products are damaged/spoiled/missing upon delivery
      • Images must be provided from customer of damaged goods unless UPS/Fedex has already done so
    • UPS/Fedex is unable to deliver (for any reason other than no one aged 21+ available to sign)
      • If your order is returned because no one 21+ was able to sign for UPS/Fedex, your order will be refunded minus a $25 shipping fee (even when shipping is “free”, Batch Mead still pays UPS for shipping).

5. Customers must contact Batch Mead about order issues (damaged, missing or returned) within 30 days of purchase or no refund will be given.

6. Orders can either be refunded or re-shipped, up to the customer. The customer must decide on refund or reship within 30 days of purchase.

    • For orders that were returned due to no one aged 21+ able to sign, your order will be refunded minus a $25 shipping and return shipping fee. Despite Batch Mead offering "free shipping", Batch Mead still pays $25- $85 EACH WAY for orders to be delivered, if you miss your delivery then you are responsible for $25 fee, Batch Mead still covers the bulk of the missed costs.

7. Refunds will be processed within 7-14 days of either UPS/Fedex notification or customer confirmation for refund.
